I’ve loved this song for quite some time.
But, I have a bone to pick. Ya know that “Definition: Skinny Love” that floats around tumblr? Well, it’s bull and i’d like to explain.
I don’t believe that this song is about two people who liked each other but were too shy to admit it. that’s dumb. I think this song is about two people who loved each other but no matter how hard they tried, no matter how much they wanted things to work; they just never did. They were two people who weren’t meant to be together but wanted so badly to keep trying. They only ever hurt one another and therefore had to let each other go.
